Death of a Nation (2018) is a satirical action comedy written and produced as a reflection of the political climate at University of Texas' campus at that time. Austin, the capital of Texas, is notorious for being a "liberal haven" in a majority conservative state. The University's value of free speech brought forth events aimed to instigate public discourse on campus grounds; however, some events explicitly advocate against vulnerable communities such as immigrants and women of color. The juxtaposition between the University's values of free speech and diversity created tension between students as it was evident that the University failed to protect marginalized students.
